Hi, my name is Lushano Naidoo and I am an animal loving, sport fanatic who is currently a BSc Environmental Science Student at the university of KwaZulu Natal, Durban.
My passions include swimming, soccer and hockey. Having played hockey for many of my school teams over the years, that is something I miss the most. I enjoy reading and the outdoors, going on an adventure is my sort of scene. I’ve had a small taste of travelling the world and I’d do it again in a heartbeat if I had the chance. Being healthy is a priority to me, and finding a happy medium between studying and keeping fit is what I strive to do.
I have been given the opportunity to write for this blog on Amanda Owen Online Education. A blog for students, by students. It’s genius! Being a student myself, I wish a blog like this existed way back when I was deciding what to study (it is a daunting decision to make at such a young age). Besides providing you with information to make the school-to-campus transition easier, I will share some of my experiences and tips. From choosing the right subjects in high school to managing your workload with sporting demands and exam study tips.
Basically this blog is designed to aid you, the youth of South Africa with adequate information and answers to questions that you won’t find in any other instruction manuals online. Our aim is to help you, inform you and give advice. What makes this blog unique is that it will convey necessary information and well researched topics, which is sometimes overlooked in other blogs. Feel free to ask any questions you have and share this website with your friends and family who might be interested.
I sure am glad to be a part of this project and hopefully you’ll join us on your journey to young adulthood.
